|Job Title||CAM Engineer (CNC Programmer)
|Requirements||Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering preferred or a demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience.
3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering and Milling NC Programmer role, in an Aerospace environment preferred.
Proficiency in NX Unigraphics preferred.
|Description||Develops and writes programs for numerically controlled machines using engineering specifications and drawings, NC program development in NX 7.5 or higher (5 Axis Milling).
Develops programs for machining parts, tools or sheet metal on numerically controlled machine tools. Develops fixture design and in process models as needed
Develops and maintain standard work for the operators to be able to run the machine as efficient as possible (i.e. unmanned and/or without interference)
Makes proper cutter selections for each part, taking into consideration such factors as speeds, types of cutters, feeds and control system limitations to achieve manufacturing goals.
Selects program routines for the most efficient computer calculation of dimensional and machining requirements for each part.
Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced root cause investigations.
Documents, prepares & maintain knowledge of job cost & develop/implement appropriate plans to improve profitability. Assist in quoting for new business case estimates.
Recommend and introduce cost saving measures and cost savings improvements.
Investigate nonconformances and defects in parts to determine what process improvements are needed; provide cause and corrective action.
