|Job Title||Assembler II
High School Graduate or GED AND,
One year, Assembly/soldering of electrical/mechanical components OR,
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 Certification may be required depending on product line.
Special knowledge: Manufacturing techniques, operating techniques, inspection techniques, quality control plans, forms, work documentation and equipment necessary to perform job; ability to solder, use of soldering and hand held welding equipment may be preferred depending on product line.
|Description||Constructs electronic assemblies and subassemblies by performing various standardized techniques and operations using simple hand and mechanical tools.
Prepares assembly area: Determines materials and machinery by reading work orders and assembly instructions, following production drawings and/or receiving verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Verifies parts by comparing provided part with part description in work documentation.
Builds assemblies and subassemblies: Aligns components and parts in specified relationships to each other in fixtures and/or other handling devices, using various hand tools and mechanical devices.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Product Manager.
Occasionally degreases parts at various stages of production using cleaning solutions and equipment.
Maintains record of work progress: Records results of job and/or problems with job in work documentation. Verifies quantity of lot by hand counting or weigh counting using standard scales.
May be required to perform basic test functions.
Periodically assists in other production areas at the discretion of the Unit Manager or Supervisor.
